I didn't want to carry anything too large in my backup and decided to try this tool out. The knife is larger than most multi-tool blades. This makes this tool more of a real knife than other multi-tools that might have added a blade only as an after thought. The tool felt sturdy and rugged in my hands. The saw tool is a nice-to-have when you need a jagged edge. I ended up using the knife and the pliers more. I have pliers from another multi-tool that i purchased, but I go to this tool more as it has the two tools I use the most.
