The author tweaked the story here and there and made it friendly for all ages. The illustrations are beautifully done. The cover is not like any book I've seen before, it's a hard cover but it's kind of soft. It's a thicker cover and it is "puffy". That's the only way I know to describe it. My son has a character parade at school right before Halloween. They are allowed to dress up and be in the parade but they have to be a character from a book and carry that book with them during the parade. My son wanted to be a wolf so I made him a costume and purchased this book. It is a book that can be passed on to my nieces and nephews when my son outgrows it. Definitely worth the purchase. Review: Timeless. Told well. - Bottom line: The story is told well, without being too gruesome. Pros: Good quality printing. Nice storytelling. Cons: The illustrations are a tad childish.
