Questionable strength & durability. *by L***S on November 9, 2019* I bought these because of the fact they are retractable with smooth edges and should be less likely to tear bags of mulch and dirt I frequently haul my truck. I think they look pretty good and were relatively easy to install. I installed these in less than 20 min with just a philips screwdriver. I have my doubts on how sturdy they are and how long they will last. The rings are some what loose, their upward angle means they will be under additional stess when straps are tightened and the backing plate is rather small. It also appears the hooks are uncoated steel so, the road salt may wreak havoc on them. If I had it to do over, I would buy these for the front of the bed and fixed rings for the sides. How, I will give them a shot and likely not put too much of a load on them.
