**Q: Will it work on wood burning chimney**
A: Yes i installed one on my bbq pit worked great.

**Q: Will it fit a 4inch diameter pipe or should I order a 5inch to slip over?**
A: i did order this product and I found it to be pretty exact with the measurements, it should the inside of your pipe, also I used black stove heat resistant spray paint and the hole this looks great. good luck, I hope I was helpful.

**Q: will this fit over a 10 3/8" pipe?**
A: It should as they are adjustable

**Q: fit over 103/8" pipe?**
A: No, this cap will only fit a pipe with a 6" outside diameter.
