I read prior reviews and yes, it is very light weight but the reflective ability is perfect. We're in a neighborhood with no sidewalks.I'd originally planned to buy a pair of different vests: [...]However, I postponed ordering, and when I went to finalize my order, those vests were unavailable. These were.These vests do not stay on well for three reasons:1. They are extremely light weight.2. They are fairly slick.3. The V is deep and widens, slipping off my children's shoulders.These are solvable problems. I bought drapery weights to sew onto the bottoms (on the sides that lay against my children's shirts), and I plan to add a ribbon strap to hold the V together about 2 inches above the bottom of the V on both the front and the back. That shouldn't be hard, even for a person who sews little.
