## Description

The U.S. Medium Tank M26 Pershing made its appearance at the end of WWII to allow the American army to stand up to the wrath of German tanks. The Pershing which was equipped with a long 90mm gun and exhibited incredible mobility, was first deployed to the European front in February 1945 as part of the effort to invade the German homeland. The Pershing, of which 200 were used against Germany until its surrender, successfully engaged Tiger I and Pz.kpfw. IV tanks. When the Korean War began in June 1950. The M26 also fought successfully against the rival T34/85 Soviet built tanks of the North Korean and Chinese volunteer armies.

Review: Excellent model of a less famous WWII tank - Less than 200 of the M26 Pershing tanks were available by the end of WWII, but the M26 was used extensively in Korea. An M26 had a crew of five, and two figures (commander and loader) are included. There are decals for four different markings. Likes: It is molded in olive drab, so it doesn't really need to be repainted. One-piece flexible tracks help speed the assembly. A good historical background is included in the instructions, but technical specifications are only basic. Eight ammo boxes and two K-rations boxes are included. The assembly instructions were easy to follow - as is usual for Tamiya. Dislikes: One (or two) driver figures would have been a nice addition.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great model

As a new model hobbyist, this was a fun kit to build. It took a good ammount of time, and has a good ammount of detail, and nice decal selection. All the parts fit almost perfect, no sanding needed, and the end result looks awesome, especially with the right weathering. The functioning suspension could serve really well for a diorama. Great model, but a bit pricy.
