The number wheels are made out of metal instead of rubber, which is nice although it means you have to make sure you're stamping on a flat surface and also means it makes a substantial "clunk" noise when you use it. The only downside is that the only way to adjust the number wheels is to manually turn them using a pen (or the little plastic stylus they give you), so your fingers will get some ink on them if you're not careful. You can also set the increment comb to let you stamp each number a set number of times before moving on to the next, which is handy for duplicate or triplicate documents. **Q: Does it have a neutral mode? ie stamps without advancing the number (need both static numbering and sequencial)** A: Yes it does. Just push the advance comb all the way over. In the first spot, it does single numbers. In the next duplicate and in the next triplicate. If you go all the way over, I'm pretty sure it has a static setting. If not, you can always hold the comb open with a rubber band. **Q: Does this model have drop ciphers? i need to stamp individual sequential numbers.. can't have like "00001" i need it to just stamp "1" can i do this?** A: Yes you can.
