I thought I would Email Rexing to see if they would send me another but no response from them ?? Basically like many others after installing/hiding hardwire it didn’t work at all. I tested my unit with all my other cords and it worked fine. Irritating company doesn’t return/answer Emails. ### ⭐⭐ Kills my new car battery *by D***L on Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2020* Like many folks, I don't drive much these days. My Subaru needed a new battery just before I bought this. The fact that this stops at 11.6v instead of 11.8v makes it so my car won't start. The alarm will chirp, doors unlock, but the battery just flat out dies after just 2 days of sitting in the garage with my V1P Pro turned off. To test to make sure it wasn't something else, I'd unplug the USB end of the power cable to the V1P Pro, and the car would start just fine after 7 days of sitting. Tried again, and yup, dead after 2 days. It's a vampire even while the dash cam is turned off, and no parking mode to boot! Look for another hardware adapter! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple fix and Hardwire kit works perfectly *by S***. on Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2019* I too had a DOA hardwire kit. Spent many hours installing it with no luck. The in-line regulator detects the standby voltage in the cars electrical system and therefor a weak car battery could cause this kit not to work. How did I finally get mine to work? Everything connected properly, started the car and the kit starts working perfectly.So when you see the one star reviews, they are probably experiencing the same issue that I and many others had. If the voltage goes down below 11.5 Volts the regulator will not fire and camera will not work. Start your car!
