I got them for storage purposes. They are suprisingly perfect for storing certain heavy, awkward things. For instance... i have a pile of spare and old bicycle wheels and tires. They arent garbage tey, but i also dont want them getting kicked around the garage all the time.If you use a sturdy kook and one of these strraps, you can make a pretty convenient way to store stuff like that... Loop over the hook, remaining loop through you pile of junk, other loop on the hook. This makes it easy to undo to add or remove stuff.Also works for big extension cords, hanging awkward garden tools, etc.And, for what its worth, these straps seem plenty heavy enough for tying down motorcycles and the like.
