I was almost sorry when I ordered this because I didn’t see the reviews about it catching on fire until it was ordered. Yow. But having seen those, I put this on a plate in the microwave for 20 seconds. It didn’t feel like it had gotten hot at all, so I gave it another 10 seconds. Didn’t seem hot, but I didn’t want to chance it so I went on and put it around my neck and shoulders and sat back in my recliner to write this review. Well, I have to say that I am surprised. Not only is the scent really lifting my spirits, but the the warmth emanating from the wrap is just right, a gentle, moist, penetrating heat that feels really, really good. I’ve got an expensive electric moist heating pad that doesn’t feel anywhere near as good as this does. So I’m glad I got it. I haven’t tested it cold yet, but I plan to keep it in the freezer inside the plastic pouch it came in because the mint-green fuzzy cover, I know, is going to get dirty in a hurry. I think it can be removed, but it doesn’t look like it would be easy, and I don’t think the cover would hold up well to machine washing. But, oh my! This just feels really super good to me right now! So the trick is, do NOT nuke it until it melts! You don’t need to. And another thing: the weight is just right.
