Helly-Hansen Lifaloft Insulator Jacket for Men, Lightweight Coat, Athletic-Shell-Jackets, Water-Resistant, Windproof

That has become my favorite hiking jacket which is easy to fold up and store in your bag when not in use. It looks great, blocks the wind, and keeps you warm in the cold without adding much bulk. I have used it for the past year and it has been great. The price fluctuates a lot so keep and eye on it and buy when its on sale which makes it an awesome value.

I have worn Helly Hansen before and I previously purchased a Large. This jacket in a large fit me perfectly. I am 5'10" and 215 lbs, in decent shape. It's lightweight, folds up easily, and keeps me warm and dry. I could easily wear this with a light sweater under it if I needed to stay warmer. If you're going to layer clothing to be in cold temperatures for any length of time, I suggest sizing up or buying a coat with more insulation.

Good light weight jacket. I’m a medium but it was a little snug so had to get a large. The padding is very minimal. Good to take off the chill and for layering only. So would be good for light activities.

In my youth I wore a medium jacket. I am now thicker in the torso but no taller or longer in the arms. I typically buy a size large these days to fit my torso, but inevitably the sleeves are too long. I bought this jacket in a size large and it fits my torso fine but surprisingly the sleeves are not too long. The jacket fits snugly but the material is stretchy so it is not constricting. The construction and materials are excellent. I've worn this in light rain and it kept the water out. I have not had this out in a pouring rain so cannot comment on that. The jacket is warm and is perfect for outdoor activities in the fall and early winter. I would highly recommend this jacket, just be aware that the jacket is sized smaller than you're used to.

Forgive me, I have to post one of those reviews where the item hasn't yet been used, just because we're already so happy! Expect an update after my husband can wear it in colder weather with some rain, wind, and hopefully snow. QUALITY: the jacket is a uniquely vibrant blue that is still subtle enough it doesn't look silly. The materials and design look premium compared to my similar Columbia brand jacket. The H/H jacket is also WAY lighter. It's so lightweight it's alarming---how can this still keep someone warm? My husband can't wait to find out how well the Norwegians, the world's greatest polar explorers, did. BUYING EXPERIENCE: the jacket arrived several days sooner than we were told by Amazon to expect (we no longer have Prime so chose the slow but free option). Most sellers would just stuff this in a plastic shipping bag, but ours came in a nice, perfectly-sized box, plus plastic wrapping inside. Premium shipping for a premium brand. Seller is really on the ball, and we will look to purchase from them again. CONCLUSION: you can buy a warm enough jacket from a big box store for $40, but it'll never be a "favorite" jacket. This jacket, on the other hand, will have you looking forward to zipping up.

Insanely small. For anyone who isn't skinny this may not work for you. I'm 6ft 210lb in shape (not bodybuilder status) but athletic build and an xl ran extremely small around my biceps and back. An XXL would have been too big around my waist but would probably fit my arms and back. Nice jacket and wish it would have fitted.

Pretty spendy but worth it. Bought it for a trip to Patagonia and was happy to have it when the temps dropped and the wind picked up. Packs down small and takes up very little space in my pack and is very warm for such a light weight pack jacket. well constructed, good material and stitching with a good zipper. While others look like I have checked them out and decided to buy another Helly Hanson product because I've never been disappointed with them.
