Has a range of approximately 10-15 feet indoors, less outdoors or with bright lighting. Only 2 of the buttons are used for Pentax and the others are for different brands. One button will trigger the shutter release, the other is equivelant to half-way pushing the shutter button as if in auto focus mode, allowing the camera to do the focusing for you. Would have been 5 star review if range had a larger response area, but I suspect that would be the case with all infrared remotes and a radio remote would be necessary for greater distances. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works for my Pentax K-30 *by E***E on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on August 25, 2013* I purchased this on a whim for a family vacation.
