They work perfectly for chilling cocktails with out watering them down. For extra fun, look up how to make completely clear cubes. I'm not as big of a fan of the sphere mold. It's a little hard to use, I usually end up with some water on top that turns into ice sheets. They make it a bit of a pain to get the cubes out. The bigger problem I have is that the mold doesn't seem to really close completely, so I end up with several of the ice spheres connected together by little sheets of ice.
