Now she can use any type of bulb with a standard E26/E27 medium base. Anyone with an OttLite lamp that uses a "proprietary" OttLite fluorescent bulb with the G24 like base should buy this adapter so you can use higher quality inexpensive bulbs. The OttLite bulbs don't work all that well and they don't last long. The adapter can't be inserted all the way into the socket/fixture. (This is NOT a problem with the light fixture, this is a problem with the adapters.)2) If using these to replace CFL (fluorescent) lights with LEDs, these probably won't work for you. Most G24 CFL fixtures have a built-in ballasts which help regulate the electricity through the fluorescent bulb.
