This type of closed foam has an imbeded pvc pipe for firmness and durability, which is great. I Also would recommend the SOFTER open cell white foam that you can usu. get for around 14.00 for a three for full and half round type (just know with very heavy [daily] use will have to be replaced eventually) I use the 3' half round softer type cut down in three sections and have my wife cover with heavy duty material as lumbar and sometimes neck support pillows to sit and sleep.
