First, let me say that this is one of the best books about gamification that I have read.  Rather than spending so much time telling you what gamification is and why research says it should work, it gets down to brass tacks and gives you honest-to-goodness real ideas that you can use and adapt for your own classroom.  It doesn't speak about things like leaderboards and XP in vague terms; you get to see how actual teachers are using them.  If you have done the research and are already convinced that gamification is something you want to try but are not confident in your own creative ability, this is the book for you.  I also like the inclusion of the ISTE standards for each chapter.The main reason I give it four instead of five stars is that the Kindle version has a lot of errors, and they interrupt the flow of reading.  Hopefully, someone will go back and edit more carefully.

Overall a great resource. Lots of ideas for Language Arts! I've used Classcraft in my student teaching and I think if used starting out with a fresh group of students could really pull in some of the students who struggle witj school.
