I'm glad I got the trick. The DW MDD shaft is just as good as the trick. If it would have fit on the cobras I would have used them. If your looking for an upgrade for DW then the MDD drive shafts are just as goods trick but I'm not sure how much they would be or even if they are sold separately. I never claimed to be a great double bass pedal player, but after today I think I'm on my way there. I play a dw5000 and this drive shaft fits very well. The stock DW shaft wasn't very good compared to this Trick brand. This is how the pedal should have been all along and now that it's super smooth and responsive, I can really take my double bass to the next level. I'm still just at a loss for words about how well this drive shack works compared to the stock one.
