While this unit has a great picture, it's really hard to set up. This is NOT plug and play. After some configuring I was able to get it set up and it works fine. The app that they tell you to download is used to look at all the recordings. V380. There's a pro app V380 Pro that is available as well. Free. I downloaded it and use it to look at my alarm stills. Both apps are very glitchy. If you buy this product you will need both apps, just saying. I've had to delete and reinstall the apps several times. As of this week its working and I haven't had to do that. Maybe its worked itself out, not sure. The day pic is amazing! The night pic is pretty good but I have christmas lights on right now so we'll see once I've turned all those off an taken them down. The motion detection is super good but note that in the pro app all you have to do is set it up for ALL DAY and it will do 24 hours. I couldn't find this information anywhere. Same with the other regular app. Choose ALL DAY and it's 24 hours. If you change anything in one app, it auto changes in the other. Honestly, since i know what I'm doing with this item, I think I may buy a second one. Not sure yet. I haven't caught my vandal but we'll see. Good luck with this. If you can get it working it does a great job for the money.Update: never caught vandal as they didn’t come back but took Christmas lights down and the night picture is non existent. Then the company sent me a text saying that it wanted cloud storage fees. I just kept taking the chip out and downloading the videos (only as the photos never worked with my computer) onto my computer. Now, it is deleting videos! I think it is taking photos but stops video taping. I review the recordings but see they have 1979 as the date. I can't change it as it doesn't connect with my phone. I need a better written manual, apparently. I thought I had it connected at one point but couldn't see much because the alerts didn't show anything-no video! I have constant movement in my home but I just ran. Does the videos get deleted if the power goes out? They work great and are a very good value.I bought two of these cameras hoping to keep an eye on our dogs while we are away. I was able to connect the cameras to my home Wifi and view them with no problem on the app. I have reviewed the "instructional video" and made the proper connections but could never get the cameras to connect while I was away from home. The other day I finally got one of them to connect while I was driving down the road. Since then I have tried several times and it's very hit and miss.
