When fitting children, age on any size chart is a guide only. Always go by the actual measurements and dont be tempted to allow a little room for growth. Always use a fabric tape measure. For a shortie wetsuit the body length is the key measurement as you are fitting the torso. Please measure your child accurately and take in to account both the body length and the chest - especially if your child is bigger, smaller, stockier or slimmer than average for their age. The body length is measured from middle of throat, straight down the front of the body, to just between the legs (where seams cross mid crotch on a pair of trousers for instance). If in any doubt, we are more than happy to give advice . Our wetsuits have been chosen because they give a great fit on the majority of children IF the measurements are accurate - there will always be exceptions! If your child is tall and slim - the odds are that to fit the body length the chest may be loose - there is no way around this. It is a little baggy on him, but slimmest fit wetsuit I could find. So he does get colder than a larger girthed kid would as he has new cold water going down his back or front now and then.He loved it though and getting him in the water was much easier than without it. Also, less need for wrestling with him to put sun cream on!I've also used this in our local swimming pool. Everyone complains how cold it is and being skinny, my boy gets blue lips after about 15 mins in trunks. In this he lasts the full hour no problem and has really started enjoying going to the pool.In terms of price, please note that on our way to Wales in the car, every service station we stopped by was selling kids TMF wetsuits for £10 along the M4. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent item!
