The spaghetti size cutters do not cut the pasta all the way through so you don't get individual strands. You have to pull them apart yourself. Same with the fettuccine size. Steel. Heavy. I clamped it down to the table.I bought it to roll thin dough for pirogen, ravioli, knishes.It is hard to fit your hand in the small space where the dough emerges, made for Lilliputians. Many of these machines are probably too small where they output the dough, but this one is particularly small so you have to work fast to catch the dough before it gets bunched up. If you can get a friend to help you, one can feed the dough, while the other catches it.The roller should have been further out from the machine, just like the pasta cutter on the other side is, so that you can catch the dough yourself easily before it clumps into a pile at the bottom.I managed to roll a perfectly thin dough out, and fed the machine and rolled it and caught the dough in time for it to come out picture perfect, but it was far too challenging and inefficient.
