Review: Great safe for travel - Several hotels are removing their safe from the rooms, so I needed a travel safebox for my belongings. I bought one but it was too small. This desertcart Basics Safe is the ideal size to store my passports, credit cards, keys and more. The security cord is long enough to attach on different locations. I bought the Large size, so it's portable (fit in a bagpack) but large enough. It's kind of heavy due to material, but very strong. I only wish the combination lock would be of 4 digits instead of 3 - I think it would increase security.

It is priced lower than others I have purchased, and appears well made. The cable is heavy but flexible. Very sturdy. I am pleased! I got the XL size.

**Q: Can this be returned?**
A: Yes, I could not open this case at all, so I returned it, and they sent a replacement. I could not open the replacement either, so it is also returned. I planned to keep my will in it, but now I would not trust it. An executor might not be able to open the case either!

**Q: Is it airport friendly?**
A: Yes

**Q: Is this fireproof?**
A: No, not at all just a simple case.

**Q: Will it hold a Glock 22? Does it have room for a full-sized pistol & at least 1 magazine?**
A: Absolutely, I have my G22 in the small one.  Fits fine.
I have the XXL size for another pistol and, while I don't keep magazines in either, the XXL could have the pistol and 3-4 mags if you wanted to.

I bought this item and it was easy to set up combo. Easy to lock and close. Was hard to open and first but once opened all was good. The size is fine for one gun. It is made of metal so appears to be strong. Easy to transport to car and attach.
