The plastic adjustment nut (fine to coarse) stripped on one as I have a tendency to sometimes rock back and forth rather than continually rotate when grinding. But liking the two-in-one design as well as the quality of the ceramic grinders inside, I simply sanded the plastic parts the metal was glued to and applied Shoe Goo since it's flexible rather than a brittle and unaffected by moisture to fix where the glue failed. I went to my local hardware store and found brass nuts (better than iron for being around salt) to replace the plastic nuts. So all is well I would have rated a five but for the failed glue and plastic nuts. (I noticed the current ad shows nuts with metal inside which may fix the problem) I still wouldn't hesitate to purchase again at that price because the fix was relatively easy and they work great now. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Lasted 5 years *by R***3 on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 15, 2020* It's a stylish design, and the ceramic grinders are nice. The weakness is in the black plastic components that hold the mechanism together. Ours broke after about 5 years of pretty steady use (the black plastic truss that holds the grinding wheels in place, and now the salt side is totally useless). Not sure how to take them up on the lifetime guarantee. Can they send a replacement? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks nice, efficient, able to get the exact size grain I want for salt and pepper *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on June 7, 2015* Looks very nice on the table. Feels good using the grinder, has a good heft to it. Efficiently grinds salt at one end and pepper at the other end. You can control the size of the grains, from quite fine to chunky, and it is recommended you turn the grinder clockwise only. We adjusted a few times to get the proper grind size for the salt, but we were able to get what we wanted. It comes with 3 caps (one is an extra, just in case!) for keeping each end from leaving grains on the table. I purchased pink Himalayan salt, my favorite, and it works very well with this grinder. The only drawback, in retrospect, it is a bit hard for me to grip and turn; I believe a rubber grip on the outside would work better for me.
