The bolt had snapped off a few years ago when the tyres were replaced, but I had high hopes for this along with a can ofΒ  English Abrasives 801-10 Plusgas Aerosol 200ml Β to do the job.Once I got the hang of the burnisher end (push hard), it was going well. Then the thread to remove the bolt went in and bit. My electric drill couldn't shift it, and it seemed stuck, so I had to resort to hand tools. Well despite it looking like the common hex shoulder, there were protrusions meaning it didn't go into a normal holder, needing a longer one to marry up to my socket set. After things were looking like they were moving, snap, the end was off. I managed to free the broken bits, but I was dissapointed to not be able to get the bolt out. In the end I drilled out the bolt and will re-tap, and hopefully have my alloy wheel cover back on...So in summary, the burnisher is good, but it cannot handle the torque for a really stuck bolt. Worked really well - I managed to remove to screws with worn out heads.Although they cost a bit more then others, but then, they seem good quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Limited Application *by O***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 October 2013* I bought this set with a specific job in mind, removing the doors from a couple of outbuildings on my property. The doors have been hanging since long before WWII, and no way could I shift the slot-headed hinge screws so I invested the money for this Trend product. Previously I've been impressed with Trend, especially their Snappy range, but as soon as this set came out of the packet my spirits sank. The two tools are supplied in an anonymous opaque plastic box of the lowest possible quality and bearing no branding or hint of what it might contain. Nasty packaging doesn't have to mean a nasty product, but it often works that way.The instructions do say the tools are intended for use on alloy screws. OK, steel is an alloy (iron and carbon) but the burnisher ends of the tools made no real impression on the screw heads. Eventually I drilled into the screw heads, and the thread-cutting ends of the tools were able to secure a purchase in the resultant holes in some of the screws, about half, and it was then easy to remove them. For the rest, a certain amount of brute force and chisel action was needed.If you come across stuck screws/bolts made of soft material such as aluminium or cheddar cheese, then I believe this set could be a good buy. But for tougher jobs, forget it.
