A: Will decrease noise of prop but not entirely cancelled out. Clear comms from ATC and Pilot.

A: It is a passive headset and the passive noise reduction is very good. He might also consider an Active Noise Cancellation headset for rotocraft. That will provide more noise reduction but they are more expensive.
