## Description

The BC Link 2.0 is our next generation radio with 2 Watts of power for increased usable range. Smart Mic grill is impervious to packing with snow. On/off/channel selection dial switch is protected from inadvertent channel changing. Comes with long-lasting built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, durable cord/base unit, and new battery percentage power display. Integrates into all Float avalanche airbag and Stash backpacks.

Review: clear - I must write a review because you could get half a dozen Talkabouts for the price of just one of these. But Talkabouts and Midlands are not clear. Headsets and remote mics make them even worse. And I have tried many. In a large ski group last week, most of us have Talkabouts. A few have remote mics. A friend and I each got a BCA2. Both sending and receiving were much clearer. The range seemed better too. But I'm not sure. My guess is it's about the same. To me, the clarity makes the expense worth it. I think the clarity is due to the mic's connection to the base. It not like some old audio connector.
Review: Very nice for what i need - This is a pretty handy walkie talkie setup. I love remote attachment moving all unit features to the remote. the belt clip on the remote and the unit are very sturdy and strong and made of metal. I love the remote clip can be rotated 360 degrees to get any angle i want. I have it put in a camel back and attached through the loops to the front of the pack strap. it keeps right on my shoulder. Performs way better than a basic walkie talkie and remote Motorola set up i had previously (lower end .5 watt)

**Q: Would any recommend the 2.0 over the 1.0? It’s $60 more and the only difference seems to be the range**
A: The mic is better too and it doesn’t seem to ice up as bad

**Q: Is the black and gold the new 2.0 version?**
A: Black and Gold is the BC Link 2.0 version.

**Q: Can you call when you have A emergency**
A: You can call anytime you want to. Emergency or not.
However there must be someone within the range of your radio, with their radio on, and in the same channel for the call to be received by anyone.

**Q: can this communicate with a cb radio?**
A: This is a UHF CB radio, aka FRS, on 462-467 MHz. 
It will NOT communicate with the older style 27 MHz CB radios.
