I originally bought a cheaper kalimba for my children to try out as part of homeschooling. Since I have zero musical ability, it looked like an easier instrument to attempt. We all loved it so much that we were fighting over it, so a second one was in order. The quality on this one is superb, and the resonance is far longer than our other one. The case is great quality as well. For wonderful easy to learn songbooks, I highly recommend the kalimba magic website.
