This was not the case for me. The desk came well packaged and without any damage. The desk set up was not too bad. about 2 hours and all needed hardware was included. The desk itself is veryyyy sturdy and feels like a solid wood desk. No complaints whats so ever. It took me two days to assemble with a little big of help. Moving the desk however was a problem. If you lift it up from the top piece of wood it comes off but that may be something on my end. I tried to be as though as possible not missing out any instructions. Besides that it’s a good desk that looks good too, it’s virtually perfect except for a tiny mark on one of the drawers. Ours arrived missing one drawer pull, but I contacted the company and another was sent quickly for free. Very very pleased. Love being able to put our printer underneath on a shelf, so we can utilize the whole desk space.
