I'm 5'9", about 140 pounds (37.5-inch hips), and the L fits me perfectly. The material is thick enough to cover your underwear line, and being someone who is somewhat self-conscious about shorter shorts, I'm really happy that these stay right where they're supposed to (even at pole dance practice, which involves a lot of splits, movement, etc.!). These are not pure "booty shorts" (as in, my butt doesn't hang out of them), but they're much shorter than regular shorts, so I'm really impressed with the length as well--it's literally perfect for working out (though I would imagine if you do a lot of squats and such they might ride up a little, but that doesn't bother me personally. Generally, they do not ride up on me at all).The design is really attractive and unique as well, and hugs your curves right where it's supposed to! I love the sides of these. The stitching is likewise high quality, and I haven't run into any problems with it yet like I have with a lot of other shorts I've bought on Amazon.Overall, I'm absolutely obsessed with these shorts and will be getting more soon! They're a bit pricey (aren't all women's shorts?), but for once I'd say this product is worth the price.
