Since using this to fill the kettle i have definitely noticed improvements quality and taste. You can get the corresponding filters of amazon for a fairly decent price however I've also found some shops like Wilkinson also do a filter cartridge that fits in this jug.Its definitely worth it for a nice tasting cup of tea.
