My old derby skates no longer fit w/o pain, and I’d kind of resigned myself to thinking I’d never skate again. After much research, I knew suede was the only way to go (thank you, lil pig) — riedell or Moxis particularly. These have truly been life-changing — incredibly comfortable to skate in, plus my feet no longer hurt OFF of skates. Something about the weight-shifting movement of skating has conditioned my feet after 2 months skating several times a week. Came with the skate tool but no toe guards.
