The Bag it comes with is intended to be filled with 20 pounds of sand or gravel to provide wieght for the bottom. This is to prevent tipping since it is so top-heavy. **Q: Is this the shipping dimensions or when assembled?** A: No, the item is about 5 feet tall. the bottom consists of panels that require some assembly, while the tope is one full piece. The top can be either places on the counter or used on the base standing at about 2.5 feet. The base requires weight to be placed inside so it is not top heavy. Once it is assemblies we placed cinder block inside. **Q: where do you put the butter oil? and houw much do you use?** A: I does not use oil. It is a hot air popper.
