This means the echo and speaker will not support Alexa multi-room music. If that is your intent you’ll want to consider a different device** Seems to work as advertised. Just received, so no idea how long it will last and what the battery life is, but sounds significantly better than the echo dot alone. I bought to use outside around the fire pit. Probably fine for a small office or room as well. It definitely isn’t a huge power output full sound, but for my use it works great and sounds actually better than I was anticipating. If I want to use sound from the mobile phone, I need to do it far away from the Alexa and put the speaker close to the phone. On the other hand, if I want to connect it to my Alexa, I need to put it close to the Alexa and take the phone out of the room. Overall, I love this Speaker.
