I don't really want to use it as a light otherwise, or care about the color light functions. Or even use it as a clock. Got my phone and Alexa in my bedroom for that. That all being said, for the price I think this wake up light is pretty good. The instructions are short, but clear enough. I didn't really read them before setting it up for a trial right out of the box. Easy enough to set the time and alarm. If you're old enough to have used a clock/radio alarm or are tech savvy enough to understand how to post a boomerang to your instagram story, then you should be fine with figuring this thing out quickly. My only complaints are I don't really like any of the "noises." I hate the chirping birds the least, so I use that. I use this in conjunction with my iPhone alarm. Basically set it so my iPhone alarm first goes off about 20 minutes into the 30-min pre-alarm sounds light up cycle. The sounds are actually my only gripe. I really only want the light, but there seems to be no way to turn off the sounds. I might open it up and see if there's a wire to a speaker I can clip or something. Or not. For the price, I'm more or less satisfied for what this does. Seems like all these wake up light all have downsides of some sort and even the hundred dollar ones don't really function well.
