I've used by hand only. Applied as a light thin coat, one panel at a time. Put it on, and by the time I've completely covered the panel, it has dried. Then I take it off with a microfiber cloth. I've never used a buffer. Has been a great product over the many years I've used it. **Q: Can i use a machine with this glaze** A: Yes. When I use it, I apply a thin light coat and I do one panel at a time by hand. I apply with micro-fiber applicator, remove with old 100 percent cotton t-shirt and then buff micro-fiber towel. **Q: What’s the best way to apply this ?** A: You can apply by hand with a microfiber cloth sku #39016 or #06016 Thanks Resto **Q: Will this work for getting specs of road crap off? If not, what am I looking for that will"** A: Hand glaze is better used to removing swirl marks. Bug and tar remover is better for what your looking for. Any of the popular detailing brands will have bug and tar remover. use microfiber cloth to prevent from creating swirl marks. ## Frequently Bought Together - 3M Hand Glaze, 05990, 1 qt (32 fl oz) - 3M Rubbing Compound, 05973, Liquid Formula,1 qt (32 fl oz/946 mL) - Perfect-It Perfect-It EX AC Rubbing Compound, 36060, Fast Cutting, High Performing, 1 qt (32 fl oz) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pl/products/8612733-hand-glaze-05990-1-qt-32-fl-oz](https://www.desertcart.pl/products/8612733-hand-glaze-05990-1-qt-32-fl-oz) --- *Product available on Desertcart Poland* *Store origin: PL* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
