I was worried I would chip or break a piece, but despite my 'bull in a china shop' way I handle dishes and glasses, these have survived! I've had so many compliments on the set. I always wash in the dishwasher. I've cut veggies on them, and it doesn't scratch the porcelain. For the price, you can't go wrong. Only wish they had an option to order an 8-each 8-piece as opposed to 6-piece each (of the set).

I'm relitively new to cooking. I'm enjoying the learning process and thanks to YouTube have met with much success with every recipe I have tried. I knew I needed to upgrade my dinnerware and I wanted to get plain white oven safe dishes. Plain white because after doing my research many professional chefs agree that plain white dishes make the food "pop" and I am finding this to be true. Go into any fine dining establishment and your food will be served on plain white plates...who am I to argue. The other main reason for purchasing these plates is they are advertised as oven safe. I have enjoyed many fine meals at Mastro's City Hall steakhouse and they serve your meal on a plate heated to 400f. This is done not only for effect, but the heated plate keeps your food hot throught your meal. I just did the oven test with one of my new plates and it past the test in flying colours. This set of dinnerware is great value for the money. Don't hesitate to make your purchase.
