There were many print mistakes as well. I would get an answer that I knew to be correct from a math problem, the answer would not be among the answers below the questions but when you looked it up in the answer portion, my original choice was listed as the correct one. It did delve into each math poriton but instead of explaining it, the book often just gave you sample problems and questions without giving you the who, what, why, when, and where. I wouldn't recommend this book, the price is outrageous for what you get. Save yourself money and just look it all up online, there are amazing FREE tutorials on many subjects online. ### ⭐⭐ writing a maybe but not what I wanted for the math *by S***L on Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2013* I took the Accuplacer cold. I performed fine on the essay but missed being eligible for quantitative reasoning by a few points. So I purchased this book to try and gear up for a retest because I would very much like to get into college algebra and not have to meander through math 1010 1030 and 1050 to fulfill my math requirement.If you need the barest of reminders you're golden with this book but being someone who took math more than 5 years ago I wanted something with more substance. For the price they sell this thing I could have gotten a teach yourself algebra and a teach yourself geometry book, saved money and felt a lot more prepared for the challenges of my future math commitments. ### ⭐ Don't bother its a waste of money. *by D***A on Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2014* This book is not worth a dime! it doesn't explain well concepts and skips steps leaving you wondering what just happen. The reading portion is very small and not enough information is given in order to prepare you for the comprehension part of the exam, its only 6 pages of material and then 3 more pages to test your knowledge. The math portion is a bit longer but still not clear enough.In the introduction it does say that is not intended to teach or reteach the concepts that are in the book but is intended to help you recall the information. Do yourself a favor and get your self a book that actually teaches you all the steps in the math portion because the truth of the matter is that we can not rely 100% on our memory to get us thru ALL the math concepts in the Accuplacer or this book.
