Upon opening the package I immediately noticed a few things. There were two scratch marks, one on the bolster and one on the handle. It may be difficult to tell but there is an ever so slight bend at the tip of the knife that leans it to the right. This doesn't seem to effect the sharpness but it is a bit annoying.Knife was sharp enough to my understanding, but not razor sharp in my opinion. It passed the paper test with ease. I also cut some veggies with it to try it out and it made pretty easy work of them. I was expecting it to be sharper since I could still press my finger against the blade without even slightly cutting me. Balance seems good and has decent weight to it. Pro bolster is a big plus and makes it very comfortable to hold.
