Sugar maples also won't survive our dry Idaho winter winds without trunk protection during their adolescent years and I expect these Tree Shelters to provide it! In addition, the five-foot length will help train my sugar maples to be tall and straight where winter snow drifts can get four feet deep.Multiple reasons for applying Tubex Tree Shelters to a busy tree-planting effort and my initial reaction is satisfaction with the product!
