When you've done that add some things they like to eat in with this product. For us its the tomatoes they have destroyed I squash the tomatoes and pour the juice over this mixture. They eat it. Earlier in the year it was sunflower seed. Make sure you have no outside sources of food. In my experience it also slows the rats down enough they get stupid and go after baited traps and are easier to catch. Currently we are catching rats that live on neighbors property and I may resort to getting the rat x toss packages. You must eliminate places that the rodents live. Underdecks, sheds, use flashing, fix screens exclude everything. Rat are a scourge. Also there is now rat birth control google it. buy it get rid of all the vermin safely with secondary kills. I have dogs, so I wanted to make sure the mice wouldn't introduce the poison to the animals I had in my home as pets (2 decent sized pit bulls so not as easily susceptible to being ill by smaller ingestion). The mice treated this "poison" as a snack as they chewed through the bags, ate a decent amount of it, and were long gone. It was definitely not worth the money and accomplished the opposite of what I was trying for. They had their treat, went off, and caused more damage as well as issues elsewhere. Big disappointment! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ a semi-humane way to kill a rat (depending how you look at it) PET SAFE *by S***E on December 15, 2019* I researched quite a few different rat poisons before I settled on this one. Our main concern is that we are on a farm and have many different kinds of animal, quite a few would be dumb enough to eat rat poison, plus the fact that if a rat eats poison then the barn cat eats it...dead barn cat. What this does is allow them to eat the corn which has a coating of ?!?(something?!?) on it. Sorry not in front of the bag. But basically it lets them eat it and whatever that is on the corn makes them forget they are thirsty and it also decreases the appetite (letting more rats eat the poison). It also claims to reduce the odor of the dead rat (imagine one crawls into the wall and dies) by basically mummifying them. They are supposed to dry out rather quickly. It's winter here and I just put it out. I am hoping it works. Bag says I should be finding rat husks within 2 weeks.
