I took me about 6 hours over 3 days to figure how to program it but the Smartthings community and the Github website were both of enormous help. I programmed it, got it associated to the Hub, and discovered by my Amazon Echo yesterday then installed it in the fan today. Said the magic words "Alexa turn on the Living Room Fan" and I'm doing a happy dance cause it worked. I don't have speed control but I always use it on high and I can use the pull chain if I want to change speed. I then sat down and ordered one more to do another fan. I had also ordered an Aeotec DSC-17103 dual relay and I like this Enerwave a lot better, it appears to be better built and I have read some reviews that indicate the contact screws used on the Aeotec won't take 14 gauge wire and strip out easily. This Enerwave design is a lot better. I am going to program the Aotec next and I'll review that when I'm done. ### ⭐⭐ The next day it works fine. This is not good for the WAF *by J***H on Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2017* This switch is a bit buggy. It will work well for a while, then decide it doesn't want to turn off by the wall switch. When this happens it will report itself as off through zwave. The only way to get it to go off is to turn it on through zwave, then turn it off again. The next day it works fine. This is not good for the WAF. The switch should just work. So as far as this goes, it is a fail. It may be worth a little more to try one of the Aeon Labs models.Update:I bought this to control my ceiling fan and light as well. When I installed it, turning on the fan resulted in buzzing and popping coming from the switch and feeling back through my computer speakers for a second. Then it would calm down. It would also sometimes cause the light to come on. I contacted the manufacturer (not the seller, who was perfectly responsive) who told me this noise was normal. Not satisfied with that I began doing some additional research. This switch is rated for 4 amps per switch. Turns out the average ceiling fan draws 0.4 to 0.6 amps depending on the speed setting. The problem comes from the fact that the motor is an inductive load, so when it starts up it draws 10 to 15 times that. This is is why it was overloading when I turned it on. This is also why none of the other zwave switches like this support this type of load. The fact this switch claims to support it is concerning. When I told the manufacturer - they stopped responding to my communications. So beware of this switch if you plan to use it for a fan. My switch also didn't want to turn off sometimes, which in hindsight may be related to the overloading. Top greener returned my money and I went with an aeon labs model for the light only. It works perfectly. In the meantime I will continue to await a better fan/light combo solution. ### ⭐ Fails in < 24 hours and slow to respond to commands. *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2018* I bought this to use in the tight switch boxes where the builder's electrician used the switch box as a junction box. The Z-wave and Zigbee are so deep there wasn't room to use them.Don't waste the investment on this poorly designed product. Product didn't even make it 24 hours before the relay didn't have enough power to turn off the connected lights.
