I have the 2016 pro so the logo does not light up** A: Depending on which model of Apple laptop you have, any model post October 2016 will not have a baclit Apple logo. Apple say it was a space saving action as they strive to make their laptops thinner and lighter (weight wise) but I see it as a battery power conservation ploy.
