I usually brew 4 cups each day as I live alone, and it does very well for small brewing as well. As prior military, I appreciate the military time display. I purchased this coffee pot a couple months after my mom purchased and loved it. Several months ago she said the machine would leak water all over her counter. I thought maybe it was because she is semi-handicapped and possibly not getting the water into the machine. Last week, ours started doing the same thing. It appears water leaks from the bottom. Husband put a cookie sheet underneath and we tested it. It would fill the small cookie sheet with nearly 1/4" of water. As much as loved the simplicity of this machine, leaking water and having the plugged in machine standing in sitting water was not our idea of safety. Nice coffee pot.
