Not only is it very bright but it is spot on where I like it. No shimming required. I feel lucky as I have seen several mention they needed to. My only concern now is longevity. That is the reason I give 4 stars value and an over all 4 stars. This is a chunk of money for a head light. I purchased the 3 year warranty with it. I would hope I can get at least 5 years out of it for that price.
