**Q: Will this fit green works 21142 ?**
A: Snow Joe only perfect fit

**Q: how do you replace the spools on the trimmer?**
A: I followed the instructions down to every last word - 6 times.  Yes, the spool clicks in, but you still have to get the lines through (there are two).  Each time, no matter what I did, what I tried, the spools would completely unravel themselves around the trimmer or whatever I tried to trim.  It was a mess and a waste.  Haven't used it since.  And because you have to order 6 at a time, if I order them again, well, that means I've just spent more on the spools than the trimmer itself.

**Q: do you just pop it in or does it have to be twisted a certain way ??**
A: I was able to feed through the 2 holes and pop in.

I like these spools they were easy to install and they work well as expected.

This item makes replacing the trimmer string a snap. You only have to pop the used cartridge out and replace it with a new one. Now, you have to take out a small guiding ring from the old one and place it on the new one, which can be a bit difficult, but nothing major. The only thing is that, for me, the string's gauge is too small and I ended up replacing the string with a bigger gauge.
