## Overview

InterDynamics Certified A/C Pro Super Seal is a 3oz stop leak kit combining refrigerant and additives to repair metal and rubber leaks in automotive A/C systems. Featuring a reusable hose compatible with R-134a cans and a red dye for leak detection, it offers a cost-effective solution to extend your A/C’s life and avoid costly repairs.

## Description

A/C Pro Super Seal Stop Leak Treatment contains special sealing additives that help repair pinhole leaks in the metal components of A/C systems and common leaks in rubber components. Seals rubber leaks in O-rings, gaskets, and hoses. Red dye helps to detect leaks that are too large to repair. Reusable dispensing hose is designed for compliance and to work only with R-134a cans with self-sealing valve can tops.

Review: Actually worked! - But not right away. - My old car's ('03 Subaru ) AC developed a leak where it would stop working within a couple days of a refill. I tried some other similar stop-leak products but only meant for worn seals etc that had the refrigerant included without success. The estimate for repairs was $900 which is more than I was willing to fix a car I intend on replacing soon. **The text on the packaging does explicitly state that the product is not appropriate for a leak was fast as mine** I decided to give this stuff a try and immediately refilled the AC unit after as instructed, much to my dismay (and no surprise) the AC stopped working again within days and I gave up. I decided that I would add $4.50 refrigerant before the next few road trips and start shopping for a new car before I create a new hole in the ozone layer. A week later I needed the car and it was very hot out so I refilled the AC again expecting it to stop working within a couple days again and here I am over 5 weeks later and the AC still works! I've delayed buying a new car because of this. EDIT: 1.5years later and still holding up! It might not work for you but it’s certainly worth trying. Edit June 2019: 2 years later and AC still works! A little less cool this summer but will add some refrigerant soon
Review: Not good - The hose that comes with the ac stop leak is vary cheap when using it leaked out from the hose and the fitting shooting the refrigerant all down the engine compartment. Needless to say the dye now all over the engine compartment made the leak detect useless. Maybe just got a bad hose but looks cheaply made.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this fit all vehicles using 134a?**
A: It should. I am under the impression that all R-134a system use the same Schrader valve that this kit fits, and is not the same fittings as on the previous freon systems.

**Q: The gauge jumped suddenly went to red warning range and remained there after I disconnected it from the port. Can I trust this reading ? How to reset**
A: There is a check valve in the hose fitting. The gauge reading is an indication of what is trapped. It will reset during next time it is connected automatically.

**Q: How do you purge the hose after you have checked your system pressure?**
A: you have to push in on the quick connect fitting. i would recommend a better 3 hose gauge set. spend the extra money

**Q: Does anyone else have a problem with your gauge staying pressurized after your done with it. mine kept 35 psi of freon in it**
A: I see mine also has residual pressure from the charging process. I suspect there are check valves, one in the Schrader valve end of the set, to keep the can from leaking through that end. There may also be a check valve to keep the vehicle A/C system from back-filling the can, if the set is still hooked up and the pressure on the vehicle system is higher than the can pressure.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3 weeks and counting
*by O***Y on August 8, 2018*

My son and I are restoring a black and red 89 Iroc z. Cool-looking, but murder in the summer sun. The seller swore that the AC worked, but it had a leak, and he wasn't kidding. Fully charged, the AC worked great. But after bringing the charge up to mid-level with three 12-oz cans of replacement R134a, the system was down to near zero in one or two days. And it's 90+ here in Maryland with 70-95% humidity. And we're saving our pennies for good headers, not AC (yet). And in this weather with crazy humidity and sudden thunderstorms, opening the T-tops doesn't cut it. What to do, what to do............... So after reading the reviews, we tried this ID brand sealant. I wasn't hopeful, because our leak was major. But we hoped to limp by until cooler fall weather, and then do major repairs next spring. Three weeks later, the AC is still blasting out cold air and the charge level appears to be spot-on. I added this leak stop and then another three 12-oz cans of R-134a. IMPORTANT: If you have a can tap with a slash tip that punctures the top of an R134a can, it won't work with most leak-stop cans. So buy this one because it has the correct can tap, which uses a pin to push down a valve in the can. Eventually I'll have to buy a compressor kit with the dryer and piping, and also a vacuum pump. But for now, this stuff seems to have saved our keysters, allowing us to focus on more engine mods.
