Review: Excellent Service + Additional HW Required On Subarus - Bottom line -> The seller of this product has *great* customer service but on Subarus (mine is a 2016 Outback) - TPMS relearn requires an additional tool. Details: (based on what we discovered ... pls correct us if wrong) I'm switching my normal tires with winter tires. They have their own TPMS sensors. The car doesn't know these sensors. Two general steps: 1. Get the car's computer to "relearn" these IDs 2. Get sensors to provide their IDs This appears to be how some cars work. You can tell the car - "hey, new IDs coming... listen up". If you can get your car to be in "relearn mode" then this tool does step #2 above ... to get the sensors to shout out their IDs. However ... on some cars like my Subaru -> the car doesn't have a way to wirelessly listen to new sensor IDs to "relearn" them. (if I'm wrong, pls let all of us know how to do this) What I observed Costco Tire do ... - Walk around the car with a tool tapping each tire to collect the sensor ID - Plug the tool into the car via the ODB2 port to program the new sensor IDs I believe the ATEQ Quickset tool is what I need to *program* IDs into the car via the ODB2 port. I will still need a separate tool to collect sensor IDs. At this point, this is costing me so much $$ .. I might as well pay Costco the $25 seasonal switch out. If you don't have a Subaru ... and have a car that can "relearn" TPMS ids, then this device might be for you. The seller is top notch and provided great service + troubleshooting ideas. 5 stars for the support and education.
Review: Send instructions!! - How am I supposed to use the tool when it comes with no instructions?!?!
