Different sets of legs available for varied preferences. Build quality is good as expected from maped . Also seeing the shape , size, and weight of compass it doesnot slips and balances perfectly while using which is a drawback of most compass as they donot have good balance while using them. But I'm not quit sure about its locking mechanism.Before buying this the presumed that the compass can be moved without unlocking it . But turns out it doesn't . We have to unlock , take measurements and then lock or use without lock which I find hectic while drawing big drawing with lots of compass use.Or I yet have to discover a way to use this without unlocking.You know by loosening the torx screw which holds the the two legs .Because the legs move when locked But requires more force .But overall it is good !!
