Several of the plates, both small and large, are not flat on the bottom, so they wobble on the table. There is a slight rim on the edges of the plates. It is thicker on some than on others. The small plates, large plates and bowls are quite heavy. This would make you think that they are durable. Not so. Despite being very careful with these because they are made of glass, they have not endured well at all. We have had them for only two months. One of the salad plates broke in half while being washed by hand. Three of the salad plates are chipped on the edge. Two of the dinner plates and one of the bowls is chipped as well. We are NOT hard on dishes. They are washed carefully by hand and dried with a soft towel. Everyone in the house is over the age of 12. Half of the time we use paper plates for quick clean up because of our busy schedule. The large and small plates only get used maybe twice per week. So to have them chipping and breaking this soon is poor quality. The only positive thing is that they are quite large, so you can dish up big portions. Bowls are a little small to average, we’re ordering the next size up as well. **Q: If Mainstays is made by Libbey, is it the same exact product & quality?** A: I don't know about Libby but the quality is great I've had mine for 3 years very durable and cute **Q: Are these oven safe?** A: I honestly don't know - sorry - I wouldn't do it as they're solid glass and would get very hot. I can tell you that they are GORGEOUS!
