What I can say is that I've had the hedge trimmer for over a year now and it's very good. **Q: I cannot get the cutter plastic guard off, should it just pull of easily?** A: A good pull will remove guard but be careful to fit correctly when finished **Q: Why are people saying it doesn't come with batteriy and charger** A: I purchased this last July and it came complete with battery and charger. As someone has mentioned previously you can buy the hedge trimmer without the battery and charger. I have purchased other Einhell products since without battery and charger and these work with my existing battery and charger. **Q: I have this with a 2Ah battery, would a bigger battery give it more welly?** A: The Einhell is a very disappointing sluggish action I have both batteries and it makes no difference. I bought the equivalent Lidl for half the price and is just the same but my long handled Gtech is so much better and so is after sales pity they no longer make short one the other famous one beginning with S (spelling !) is equally poor after sales .
