I have had to buy more seed to fill in the patches. The grass in this area grows almost while you are watching it, at this time of year, so the conditions were perfect. I also netted the area, so no seed was lost to birds. Six weeks after sowing, the new growth is about an inch high and some ungerminated seed is still visible. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Takes a while to germinate but has worked great for me *by Y***L on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 August 2019* My lawn had been trashed by some buildings work that we had on the house so I was seriously considering starting again with turf, but thought it was worth a punt to buy a 5KG bag of this to see how it would come on. I have to say I am extremely pleased with the result. It is not prefect, probably due to my inaccurate sowing and dog tending to scratch it up, but there is plenty of seed left to cover up those patches. It has been down now about a month (since mid-July) and from a distance it looks like a normal lawn. Up close you can see it is only new grass but I have no doubt that it will fill out.
